ROUNDTABLE - School Year and Summer Travel Experiences
Join fellow SPARC members for an open conversation focused on student travel programs. This roundtable is an opportunity to share your experiences, learn from peers, and explore evolving practices in the world of student travel.
We’ll explore questions such as:
-
What types of student travel programs did your school offer this year—sports, domestic academic trips, international experiences?
-
What challenges did you encounter? What opportunities emerged?
-
How are you managing risk, and what are your greatest concerns?
-
What policies do you have in place around chaperones, supervision, and safety?
-
What are you planning for student travel in the 2025–2026 school year?
- Are you using vendors or running the programs on your own?
Whether you’ve been managing complex itineraries or are just beginning to explore options, your insights and questions are welcome. This is a chance to engage in open dialogue, exchange practical tips, and support one another in designing meaningful and safe student travel experiences.
This discussion is open to all SPARC members. We welcome and encourage participation from anyone with involvement in auxiliary programs including Directors, Assistant Directors, CFOs, and any other school personnel that are interested. The discussion will be facilitated by SPARC Senior Advisors, with the goal of encouraging the participation of all attendees. Recordings are available to SPARC members in the Resource Library of the website within 24 hours.
